What is 3D Printer and 3D Printing?
The 3D printing process enables a designer to produce their design. Currently, there are several methods and technologies for creating three-dimensional objects. Despite significant advancements in the construction of these machines, the speed of creating a three-dimensional object remains somewhat slow due to the layer-by-layer construction of the item. However, major companies that manufacture 3D printers are striving to improve the speed and other capabilities of their printers.
The necessity of using this process in the present era, which is an era of speed, is well understood. This process, in addition to saving time, also leads to cost savings, which is significant for producers. 3D printers are also known as particulate or layer-by-layer manufacturers because their fundamental operation is such that they build the desired product layer by layer on top of each other until the final requested product is reached. Of course, the most significant feature of this product compared to traditional methods is its high precision, faster speed, and much less waste of raw materials.
However, regarding the applications of such printers, it should be mentioned that they are currently serving many industries, but the scale of work in those industries is very small. 3D printers are usually used to create prototypes of products due to their control and difficult operation and are less used in factory production lines.
Today, with the activation of technology companies in this field, we are witnessing the construction of home models of these types of printers, which, however, have not yet made their place among home consumers as they should.
